INFORMATION FOR VOTERS REGISTERED AS INDEPENDENT

 INDEPENDENT is now officially recognized as a political party in Louisiana.  The Independent party is affiliated with the national Independent party headquartered in Fort Worth.  The designation will have no significance for voters in most elections.  It may be an issue in Presidential Primaries.  If a registered voter does not wish to be affiliated with any political party, the voter should change their registration to NO PARTY.  This change may be made at any time.  Use the GeauxVote logo to change your registration information if you wish to remain No Party.
