Key Voting Dates for 2026 Elections

 

Election Day
Ballots must be received by the County Elections Division by close of voting, 7:00 p.m.

  • Primary: August 8, 2026
  • General: November 3, 2026

Paper Registration Deadline
Paper Voter Registration Applications must be submitted to your County Elections Division by:

  • Primary: July 26, 2026
  • General: October 29, 2026

Voters may register online at any time or in-person at a voter service center.

Absentee Ballot Request
Deadline to request a ballot be sent to an alternate address.
 
  • Primary: August 1, 2026
  • General: October 27, 2026

Ballots Arrive in Mail
Voters receive their ballots for the 2026 Elections by:

  • Primary: July 21, 2026
  • General: October 16, 2026

Voter Service Centers
Open 10 business days prior to the election offering accessible voting, in person voting and same day registration. Voter service centers are established and operated by the County Elections Divisions.

  • Primary: July 27 - August 8, 2026
  • General: October 20 - November 3, 2026
    (Excluding Sundays)

Voting by Mail
Pursuant to Act 136, SLH 2019, elections are conducted by mail. All registered voters automatically receive their ballot in the mail approximately eighteen (18) days prior to the election. Ballots are sent to the mailing address provided with the voter's voter registration.
