The League of Women Voters of Sussex County has long supported the need for affordable housing for workers in Sussex County, an issue addressed in the Sussex County Comprehensive Plan.  

As a result of the 2018 comprehensive plan, the county hired consultants to complete an affordable housing study and assess the county's housing needs.  The Cape Gazette has published an article on the results.
