Advocacy Team Resources
- NEW: LWVC Action Request Form - Use this form to request permission to take action on a state issue.
- Speaking with One Voice - This explainer covers the different levels of League advocacy, who does what, and how we speak with one unified voice.
- Bills of Interest Report - Like the Bill Status Report, this lists bills we are working on, but it also includes bills our team is following.
- Under the Hood: Advocacy with the LWVC - In this webinar, we took League leaders on a deep dive of how we take action at the state level. The linked slides contain speaker notes that cover the most relevant content. They also contain several graphs that illustrate our growth trajectory, showing that over the last decade we have more than doubled the number of bills on which we advocate.

The People First Language Guide is designed to help League volunteers and staff use people-first language and avoid terminology with negative, dehumanizing connotations. This guide aims to standardize the terminology used by staff, volunteers, and local Leagues in both our advocacy and educational work.
LWVC Homelessness Action Policy
Created by the LWVC Housing and Homelessness Task Force, the Homelessness Action Policy will help local Leagues across the state to address the housing and homelessness crisis and its impacts. Along with the position, this document also includes the justification for this policy based on ohter national and state League positions, along with a glossary of terms related to homelessness.
