MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
We reached our goal and are looking for more! We now have 105+ members, exceeding our 2019 goal of 100 members. Our new members come from throughout Solano County and are reflecting the wonderful diversity of our county.
To help us build the diversity of our membership, we continue to make excellent progress connecting with and working with values and faith-based organizations. Margo has been a powerhouse here with connections throughout the county. Marilee has continued to grow our relationship with Solano Community College providing new opportunities for student involvement with our league and also creating a base for community events.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Tabling at Solano Community College (SCC), Fairfield. We’re staffing a table 2 hours per week in the Student Center. Our goal is to increase our student membership and volunteers, provide information about our league’s events, and of course help folks to register to vote. Wednesdays from 11am-1pm is the planned time for which we need help. If you are interested, please contact Marilee Scholl our SCC liaison at mail4marilee [at] yahoo.com to volunteer for one day or more.
Membership Committee. Interested in helping us grow and diversify our league? We invite you to join our committee. We have exciting volunteer work available for a few hours a month or more. For more information, please contact Margo McGlone at margowmc [at] comcast.net.
We work hand in hand with our Voter Services and Program Planning teams to support their efforts and build our membership such as helping staff our League’s booth at the Fairfield Tomato Festival.
