Reminder: The Civilian Police Review Board meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6 pm at City Hall in the City Council Chambers/City Courtroom. The meeting is open to the public.
Three weeks ago, our League’s Facebook page was suspended for “violating community standards of impersonation”. Our Facebook editor, Anita Sanchez, appealed the decision (Facebook could never specify what we were “impersonating”).
I officially started in June with the Schenectady Civilian Police Review Board (CPRB) and did the training in July and August. I've been able to attend all the meetings.
The Schenectady County League of Women Voters was formed on April 30, 1925, at Union College, after a lecture by Mrs. FW Slade, the president of LWV-NYS. Her talk was arranged by Mrs. Charles (Sarah) Richmond, wife of the college’s president.
