It has been reported that over 158 million votes were cast during this past election. How impressive is that! Each and every one of you did your part to make that happen.
Maybe you encouraged your family, friends and neighbors to cast an Absentee Ballot. Perhaps you were involved with our LWV PRE-COVID Voter Registration Training Workshops or City-wide tabling events. Or it could be, that during COVID you assisted with the National Voter Registration Day Drive Through or a virtual Candidate Forum; worked on Election Night Reporting; spread voting instructions by means of our newsletter and social media; placed Voter Information Displays around town; placed a LWV Yard Sign in your front yard; painted the Main Street VOTE Banner; wrote articles; gave interviews or volunteered to be a local contact with the statewide LWV Voter Helpline.
In order to accomplish all the above, we partnered with numerous organizations and businesses:
Whitewater City Clerks Office
The Community Space
Whitewater Public Library
UWW Warhawks Vote
Whitewater Senior Center
Vote Early Day 2020 Org
Jessica’s Restaurant
LWV WI Voter Services
Blackhawk Manor
LWV Dane County
Brookdale Manor
LWV Voter Helpline

All in all, everything we did made a difference in making democracy work. However, the most important thing we did was vote.
This year as the League’s 100th Birthday comes to a close, we reflect back on our basic mission then and now which continues to be Voter Education. The League still remains a relevant and significant part of our democracy. How awesome is that!
A sincere and grateful thanks to all.
