Whitewater Area

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. Our League provides:

  • Quality public programs throughout the year on engaging local, state and national issues. Programs are broadcast on Community TV.
  • Informative local Candidate Forums.
  • Voter Registration Assistance on the UW-Whitewater Campus, at Whitewater High School and at the Whitewater City Market as well as voter assistance training in support of the above efforts.
  • Newsletters, a website and social media postings intended to inform, educate and activate. 
  • Local and state League publications and action alerts to increase your understanding of public policy issues.

Vote Early Day is a new non-partisan civic event to help as many of the 200 million eligible voters take advantage of their options to vote as early as possible.


In collaboration with the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library, the League produced a video to help citizens understand voting basics. Make sure your vote counts!
