...The fight for voting rights is the foundation on which LWV was founded over 100 years ago and, sadly, it continues to be one of our biggest fights. Tuesday (October 19), 25 voting rights advocates — including our CEO Virginia Kase Solomón — were arrested in front of the White House advocating for President Biden to protect the freedom to vote for all Americans. We will continue to host ‘No More Excuses’ rallies at the White House until our Congress and President Biden take action to restore and protect our right to vote. 

We also spent time with four powerful congresswomen for a ‘Women Power Democracy’ panel discussion. It was so inspiring to sit with some of our nation’s leaders to discuss tangible ways that the League, our partners, voting advocates, and all Americans can embrace the values of Women Power Democracy.
