By Diane Nied and Chris Collins, Co-Chairs LWV Coast HAT
National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is November 13-21, 2021. In recognition of this, the Tapestry Unitarian Universalist Church in Lake Forest on Sunday November 14th, the Rev. Kent Doss will consider more carefully who is vulnerable and who is harmed by laws that relate to homelessness.
Following the service, Maura Mikulec, a member of the San Clemente coalition for Housing, will be presenting an update on what happened to the individuals removed from the CalTrans property in San Clemente.
Rona Henry, a member of LWV Coast, and the Chair of Welcoming Neighbors Home, a Tapestry UU Church initiative, has provided information on how to attend both the service and the update, or only the update.
