Join the League of Women Voter's Falmouth (LWVF) and FCTV for a special meeting with invited speaker Amber Payne, the Co-Editor of the Emancipator. "Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research and The Boston Globe’s Opinion team are collaborating to resurrect and reimagine The Emancipator, the first abolitionist newspaper in the United States, founded more than 200 years ago. Just as 19th-century antislavery publications reframed and amplified the quest for abolition, The Emancipator centers critical voices, debates, and evidence-based opinion to reframe the national conversation on racial equity and hasten a more racially just society."
This is a hybrid event, with seats for 60 people in person at the Falmouth Library Hermann room and streamed live on FCTV, you can also access it live on the FCTV Website.  It will also be re-broadcasted on FCTV and a recording of the event will be posted on the LWVF website.
Masks are requested at the in-person Falmouth Library event.
