Democratic Governor Tony Evers and Republican challenger Tim Michels have agreed to debate just once, on Friday, October 14. The event is sponsored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association. In addition, Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson and his Democratic challenger, Lt. Governor, Mandela Barnes, have agreed to one debate, scheduled for Thursday, October 13.
Both debates will be televised. Given the importance of these two debates, it might be a fun idea to host a Debate Watching Party. Inviting family and friends to watch and discuss how each candidate responds to issues that are important to you can be a fun and informative way to prepare to cast your vote. The League of Women Voters has some good tips on how to host a Debate Watching Party on their website. To view the LWVUS Debate Watching Kit, visit the League's website.
