The Federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is requesting comments on a petition seeking to add documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) to the federal voter registration form.  

 The League of Women Voters opposes this petition. You can learn more HERE about the EAC notice and how to submit a comment.

 LWVUS especially encourages comments from Michigan, because petitions for proposed DPOC requirements are circulating in our state. Time is short; the deadline for responding is October 20.
