Let’s Stand Together – Your Economic Power is Your Voice

 I always think of Thanksgiving as a time of reflection and renewal.  It is also affords us the opportunity to rest and rejuvenate as we spend time with those we love.  I would like to offer you some easy ways to continue to stand up for democracy while enjoying this special season of the year.

Your economic power is your voice.  Many pro-democracy organizations are promoting a five-day boycott as a powerful way to use your voice during one of retailers' busiest periods.  I am joining others in encouraging you to refrain from buying anything from Amazon (I know how challenging this may be), Home Depot and Target from Thanksgiving Day thru Cyber Monday, December 1st.  These companies were not selected at random but rather because of their political activity and support of this administration’s policies.   

 AMAZON provides technology to power ICE deportations and extensive funding for the administration’s agenda and vanity projects like the ballroom.   

HOME DEPOT enables ICE terrorism by allowing the violent detention and kidnapping of workers on its properties.

TARGET chose to pull its PRIDE merchandise and discontinue DEI policies that have negatively impacted BLACK businesses and workers.
