About Youth Empowered Solutions

The League of Women Voters (LWV) is a non-profit nonpartisan political organization whose mission is to promote everyone's informed and active participation in government. LWV Los Angeles is especially committed to engaging youth in this mission.

YES! Committee: LWVLA's Youth Empowered Solutions (YES!) is a dynamic and proactive committee. In partnership with LAUSD, other agencies and community groups, YES! develops programs and resources designed to:

  • Engage LA's diverse youth in their communities;
  • Help them identify their communities' needs;
  • Work collaboratively with students, faculty, and elected officials to seek solutions.

Internships

The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles offers Internships to any adult over 18 who wants to help move our mission forward. You do not have to be a student to be a LWVLA intern. Find out more »

The Los Angeles League of Women Voters offers interested individuals over 18 years old an opportunity to serve as unpaid interns at the League's mid-Wilshire office as well as through off-site projects throughout the Los Angeles area.

The YES! (Youth Empowered Solutions!) Committee of the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles has a list of resources for teachers and students. These resources can be utilized when designing civic education projects, which can also fulfill high school requirements for service learning.
