Join the Women’s Rights Alliance of New York State and our panelists as we host a virtual discussion designed to lift the voices of communities that are often silenced in the voting process. This timely panel discussion will explore the voices of our Indigenous Communities, Communities of Color, LGBTQIA2S+ Community, and Communities of Faith and Interfaith Action. This program is titled in the spirit of paying respect to “Lift Every Voice and Sing” written by James Weldon Johnson. This anthem chronicles the African American experience of struggle, resilience, and hope. Lift Every Voice and Vote is being hosted as a unifying opportunity for all communities and all identities to gather as collaborators and allies to discuss our collective history and aspirations for freedom and equality for all. During this event, we will focus on the key aspects of the Declaration of Independence and will discuss strategies for realizing our full potential during the 250th anniversary and beyond. This program will be held in a virtual format by Zoom. All are invited to attend. Pre-registration is required.
