Judge Hurd will be honored with the naming of the federal courthouse, located at the Alexander Pirnie Federal Building at 10 Broad St., in Utica, in his honor. A special dedication ceremony is planned for the U.S. Courthouse at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. LWV registered new citizens while Judge Hurd presided over the inspiring Naturalization Ceremonies held in his courthouse.
