Are you a college student or do you have one among your family or friends? Knowing how to vote can be a challenge. If you're registered at your New York home address, you can vote using an absentee or vote by mail ballot. Take a look at this LWVNY pamphlet to learn more. Wondering if you can register where you are living for school and vote there? Every state has different rules about residency requirements. Rock the Vote is a nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to building the political power of young people. Their website has information covering all of the 50 states. Pick your state from the interactive map on the home page and then go to the "Registering to Vote As A Student" dropdown to learn about the rules where you go to school.

No matter where you decide to vote, every vote counts, so be sure to cast yours this election season!
