The theme for the 2025 MLK Jr. Prayer Breakfast is "Protect Our 2025." The guest speaker will be Lawrence "Mac" Cunningham, mayor of Windham.

New year, new plans from LWV Board are the focus of the All Member Meeting on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. We expect it will be cold weather but you’ll be warmed by the welcome and the energy of a new year of purpose!

RESESRVATIONS ARE CLOSED! Join us for the LWV Kent Holiday Brunch and speaker on Saturday, December 7, at Laziza in downtown Kent. Brunch starts at 9 a.m. followed by a presentation at 9:45 a.m. This year's featured speaker is J. Cherie Strachan (at right) professor of political science and director of the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron.

Our speaker for the Fall 2024 Kick-Off Meeting is David Pepper, lawyer, writer, political activist, former elected official, adjunct professor and voting rights advocate. He’ll be sharing perspectives on voting rights, voting access and the state of voting in Ohio.
