WASHINGTON, DC — The League of Women Voters of the United States issued the following statement in response to the continued escalation of federal military activity in Minnesota from federal immigration officials:
Make your voice heard! League members and guests are invited to spend an hour learning more about an important issue and how to take concrete action on it. We’ll meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm via zoom. We’ll highlight current issues the League is following and walk through the process of how we can take action on those issues.
Join us Wednesday, Feb 11, 1:00pm – 4:00pm. West Chicago Library, 118 W. Washington Street, West Chicago. Illinois Mobile DMV will also be there (services include Driver’s License renewal, new/renewal State ID, Real ID applications).
Another cold one, but this Saturday had all the snow piled up from the storm. However, with the sun shining, it was beautiful. We met across the street from our usual spot, where there is a plowed sidewalk.
All are welcome to join League members for a guided, indepth discussion of the month's book selection. You may join the discussion each time or just when a book catches your interest. You do not need to be a member.
The League of Women Voters of Arlington & Alexandria City (LWVAAC) is hosting virtual candidate forums for Virginia Senate District 39 and Virginia House District 5.
