Hillary joined the league in 2021 to find her voice on political issues after retiring from a successful career in the medical device industry as an Engineering and Quality Manager.  Her involvement in League activities has helped her to gain a better understanding of political issues on the local, state and federal level.  She has attended LWV of Ohio Lobby Corps zoom meetings to stay updated on current legislation, been a member of the Hudson Observer Corps for the Hudson Library and Historical Society as well as the Comprehensive Plan, all of which have aided in a better understanding of the most important issues impacting our community.  She has found that working voter registration at local high schools has been a great way to interact with a younger group.  Most recently Hillary’s involvement in the Citizens Not Politicians effort has given her insight into the hard work required for grassroots efforts to create change.

An avid reader, Hillary is also a member of the league book club when it fits her schedule.  This is easier said than done as Hillary is an avid traveler, cyclist and hiker.  When she is outside, she is happiest.  She has recently completed her goal of cycling the Pacific Coast, Canada and Mexico.
