LWV Hudson recently hosted Ana Chapman from Honesty for Ohio Education who spoke on “Public Education in Ohio: What You Need to Know and How You Can Help.” You can watch it HERE.  Ms. Chapman addressed the impact of legislative decisions on funding both private and public schools and showed data on how school budgets in our area have been affected. She showed specific budget dollars for Hudson, Nordonia, Stow and Twinsburg.

Honesty for Ohio Education is a nonpartisan coalition advocating for inclusive, transparent and equitable public education across Ohio. Their core belief is that “every student in Ohio deserves the freedom to learn and grow in a welcoming and supportive environment regardless of their background or family income.”  In collaboration with over 90 organization partners and thousands of Ohioans across the state, their goal is to build an honest public education system that serves every child and their individual needs, leaving political culture wars at the door.

The presentation was on October 14 at Hudson High School.
