Topic: During a time of misinformation and emotions, it is good to have a game plan before casting your vote. Some of the information being shared at this event may seem simplistic, but it is valuable. Many “how to’s” will be addressed, like, how to confirm your voting location; how to get to the polls; how to research the candidates; what issues will be on your local ballot; and how to track your absentee ballot. Basically, doing your homework. But what about potential challenges at the polling place? Know your rights.
The League of Women Voters was founded to educate citizens to make informed choices as they vote. This is a perfect event for those wanting information about what will be on their ballot and what ID’s should they be taking to the polls. This is also perfect for those who will be voting for the first time.
Speaker: Judy Hoelzle, Co-Vice President of the League of Women Voters of Toledo-Lucas and Member of the League’s Voter Services Committee, will be presenting this topic.
