Letter sent to Secretary LaRose | ACLU, ACLU Ohio, and Campaign Legal sent a letter Thursday [01/22/26] on behalf of LWVO and Council on American-Islamic Relations-Northern Ohio to Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose regarding SB 293’s noncompliance with the (NVRA).

From the press release: “This new law puts eligible Ohio voters at risk of being wrongly removed from the voter rolls,” said Jen Miller, executive director of the League of Women Voters of Ohio. “We raised these concerns while the legislation was being debated, but they were ignored. Our hope is that this can still be fixed so no Ohioan loses their right to vote because of bad data or simple clerical mistakes that were completely beyond their control.”

Suffs is coming to the Cleveland Playhouse!

This February, we have the chance to see the Tony Award®-winning musical Suffs and give back to the LWVO’s local Leagues!

Suffs tells the story of the fearless women who led the American suffrage movement. It brings to life the passion, power, and perseverance of those who fought for the right to vote and paved the way for future generations. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry—truly, and you will walk out of that theater ready to slay giants.
