Ohio is about to embark on the final phase of the Fair School Funding Plan, the funding formula designed to ensure students get the resources they need regardless of where they live.  But lawmakers at the Statehouse have hinted that funding needed to fulfill the plan is in danger. The Ohio House has just begun to shape the budget that decides how the state allocates our tax dollars – now is when our representatives need to hear from us.

LWVUS Urges Congress to Act in New Letter

Press Release, dated 02/14/25, from League of Women Voters United States (LWVUS)

WASHINGTON — Today, the League of Women Voters of the United States and League chapters from all 50 states and the District of Columbia sent a letter to congressional leaders expressing strong concern over abandoning its duties and authorities under Article I of the US Constitution, urging leaders to address the unprecedented executive branch overreach threatening American democracy.
