League of Women Voters of Coos County met on March 5th to discuss the plans for the Coos Bay Library

Susan Anderson and Carol Ventgen, President of the League of Women Voters of Coos County met with the public on March 5th at the Dolphin Theatre in Empire to talk about the library bond that will be on the May ballot.  The audience saw pictures of the latest design plan for the new Coos Bay Public Library.   They were also given info about the space and all the new opportunities the library will be able to offer including a 911 call center.  The location of the new library was discussed as well and community members were able to voice their concerns and have their questions answered.  A recording of the meeting will be available here once it is posted on the Internet.

The meeting was shown on Zoom for those requesting a link from LWVcoos [at] gmail.com as well as presented in a face-to-face presentation with social distancing.  Those attending were able to show a vaccination card at the door and wore a face mask to provide a safe environment.
