We're excited to welcome new and returning members for our fun, family-friendly outdoor LWVCA 2022 Fall Kickoff at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park!

In honor of Patriot's Day and the important rights we continue to celebrate and defend today, we'll meet at 4pm in the parking lot near the pedestrian path to kick things off with a short (optional) walk to the middle of the Ravenel Bridge and back.

After exercising our legs, we'll reconvene to socialize and engage in a few fun activities to exercise our voting and advocacy muscles. Members will also have a chance to meet our new 2022-2023 LWVCA Board Members.

Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Bringing your own reusable beverage containers and lawn chairs is encouraged!

We're also once again hosting our Back to School Book Drive! A list of requested books is available on this Amazon Wish List. You can purchase a book (or two or three!) and bring it to Fall Kickoff or you can ship directly through Amazon. All books will be delivered to students at Chicora Elementary.

FAQs

Q: Where are we meeting?
A: In the parking lot near the pedestrian path at the foot of the Ravenel Bridge. There's ample parking near the bridge, but look for LWV banners, tables and signs to pinpoint our location!

Q: Who's invited to this event?
A: Current LWVCA members and their guests. If you haven't renewed your membership for the 2022-2023 year, it's not too late!
 
Q: Is there a limit to how many guests I can bring?
A: Nope! The more the merrier; just select the number of tickets needed for you and your guests in the RSVP form.
 
Q: Do I have to walk the bridge?
A: The walk is completely optional. Those who can't or prefer not to walk can stay back and socialize or enjoy a shorter walk on the Mt. Pleasant pier.
 
Q: What if there's a major storm?
A: We're keeping our fingers crossed for great weather but will watch the forecast as the event approaches and communicate any necessary changes to all registered guests.
