After the holiday rush, make plans to join fellow LWVCA members on Sunday, January 11th to socialize and get geared up for our Winter and Spring activities. We'll mingle with League friends over refreshments, hear from a guest speaker, learn about what's coming up, and get an update on key programs as we head into the primary and midterm election seasons.

Guest Speaker Announcement! Susan Dunn, noted Charleston attorney (now retired) and former Legal Director for ACLU SC, will be our special guest speaker. She will offer remarks about some of the Constitutional issues that face us, particularly in the area of voters' rights.  Susan was the recipient of LWV SC's Spirit of Democracy Award in 2021, and remains very active with cause-related work locally.  We are delighted that she will join us.

Where:  Paradiso Charleston, a restaurant and social club with an irresistible tropical vibe, located in the Mixson community at 4401 McCarthy Street, North Charleston.  Weather permitting, we'll flow out onto the patio, where mushroom heaters and firepits will keep us cozy!

When: Sunday, January 11 from 2 - 4pm  

What:  Socializing, inspiration,  food and drink!

Extras:  Our first annual Silent Auction and a guest speaker (details to come)

Parking:  Plenty, right on site!

Cost:  $25 per person requested to cover the foodie apps, sweets, and soda bar. (Cash bar available for wine and cocktails).
