2025 Candidate Forums

October 7: Mt Pleasant Town Council

This forum was held at the Mt Pleasant Municipal Complex with Julian Young moderating. All city council candidates for the four open seats were invited. LWVCA partnered with East Cooper Arts Advocates for this forum. View the recording here!

This forum was held at the Circular Congregational Church, with Raphael James moderating. All city council candidates were invited. LWVCA partnered with LINKS, Inc for this forum. View the recording here!

October 13: Isle of Palms City Council

This forum was held at the IOP Exchange Club, with Warren Peper moderating. View the recording here!

October 15: Folly Beach City Council

This forum was held at the Tides Hotel on Folly Beach.  LWVCA partnered with the Folly Beach Civic Club for this forum. View the recording here!

This forum was held at the Goose Creek Library. LWVCA partnered with the NAACP Goose Creek Branch, and two chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc: Nu Alpha Omega and Sigma Upsilon Omega. View the recording here!

October 21:  Summerville Town Council

This forum was held at Faith Sellers Senior Center, 312 North Laurel St, Summerville, SC 29483 from 5:00-7:00pm. This forum was for the three candidates vying for your vote in District 1. (Dorchester Chamber of Commerce and Summerville Journal Scene)
