Action, not Study, on the Clean Water Fund

Action, not Study, on the Clean Water Fund

Time Range For Action Alert:
February 19, 2018 to February 26, 2018

At Legislative Day today we learned that S.260, which would have created a long-term funding approach for the Clean Water Fund and set up a Clean Water Authority to administer the program has been changed to be just a study of funding and possibly an Authority.   Apparently Senator Bray, chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee, and a sponsor of S.260, was concerned that the original bill would not pass.

On Feb. 15 the bill was moved to the Agriculture Committee, where testimony is being taken this week.

Please contact Senator Bray, members of the Agriculture Committee and your own legislators, and let them know that we want action, not more study.
