The LWV Central Vermont has again been invited to host the Democracy Tent for Montpelier's Independence Day celebration on July 3.  The tent provides us the opportunity to provide election information as well as information about the League. It also provides space for candidates to meet with the electorate and leave signs and campaign literature – come one, come all.

We will be joined by other Leaguers from around the state in the PARADE later in the day.  This is great fun, and provides wonderful visibility. And this year, we are going to have a FLOAT!.  LWVCEN member Chris Abrams has volunteered to work on a design, but will need help to execute it. In past years, we have marched with a banner and a decorated pickup truck.  But a real float would have a much bigger impact.

Here's an opportunity for creative and more construction oriented sorts to show your stuff – and our stuff – to the world.  If your interested and can give a few hours to this celebratory event, let Chris or Kate know.

We will have more information and be putting out a call for helpers at the tent in the June issue of the Bulletin.
