Greg Stewart

The League of Women Voters is proud to present Greg Stewart with the 2016 Making Democracy Award. Greg is a social studies teacher at Whitewater High School and has taught for twenty-seven years.

In 2015, Greg developed a video contest for Whitewater High School students, focused on the importances of voting, voter registration, and the new photo ID law. Twenty-three students submitted to the contest, and at the 2015 award banquet, the League of Women Voters-Whitewater Area premiered the three winning videos to celebrate the students and their creative work.

This year, we recognize and honor Greg for the work he does every day: teaching young students in our community the importance of democracy and how it works.
