VOTE411 Empowers Voters!

Did you know the Whitewater Area League joined the national VOTE411 platform to create online voter guides for the 2020 elections? It enabled us to provide voters with non-partisan candidate information for races in many Walworth and Jefferson county communities. Our use of VOTE411 in subsequent election cycles has greatly expanded our voter services outreach!

While we will always do our best to sponsor candidate forums for key races in Whitewater and, looking forward, in Fort Atkinson too, VOTE411 lets us post responses from candidates running in races in small towns and villages for common council, school board, county supervisor, village trustee, and municipal judge. And, in addition to providing access to non-partisan candidate information for any election we want to cover, VOTE411 is also a public source for information on early voting options, election dates, registration deadlines, polling place locations, ID requirements, and much more.

VOTE411 is a remarkable League tool and our local VOTE411 Team would like your help as we prepare to use it during the 2022 election cycle. YOU can help us identify local races, gather candidate contact information, assemble questions, send invitations to the candidates, and follow up with reminder phone calls. Any of this can be done on your own time and the more League members involved, the easier it will be for everyone. If you are interested in joining or learning more about our League’s VOTE411 efforts, please contact Anne Hartwick, anne [at] lwvwhitewater.org, or Ellen Penwell, ellen [at] lwvwhitewater.org.

You can also attend a LWVUS VOTE411 Voter Guide Training to learn about the platform and ask questions about the technology or the VOTE411 program in general. Anne and I will each be attending one of the webinars listed below. They’re for experienced users and those new to VOTE411. If you are interested and want to learn more, please register today!
