If you missed the Wisconsin State Assembly 43rd District Candidate Forum on 10/5/2024, you can watch it here: https://vimeo.com/1017179136?&signup=true#_=_
Thank you to Whitewater Community TV for filming the forum!
About the forum:
The LWV Whitewater Area, in co-sponsorship with the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, held a Candidate Forum for the Wisconsin State Assembly District 43 race on October 5 at the City of Whitewater Common Council Chambers, located in Whitewater City Hall.
The candidates vying for Assembly District 43 are Brienne Brown (democrat) and Scott Johnson (republican). Assembly District 43 is an open district resulting from the 2024 redistricting that was signed into law by Governor Evers. League member Lynn Binnie served as moderator.
League forums are held to encourage informed participation in government. Candidate questions are submitted on cards from audience members throughout the program. Questions are first reviewed by League members, whose job it is to sort the questions by topic, check for redundancy and to be sure that questions are relevant to all the candidates. The League does not accept questions targeted to a specific candidate. To the best of our ability, the League vets the accuracy of information in any question asked. The League does not, however, in any way, attempt to correct or police candidate answers to any question. Candidate questions prepared by the Whitewater League board are used only if questions from voters fail to fill the forum’s timeframe.
Hosted by the League of Women Voters at the Whitewater Municipal Building.
