The League of Women Voters and the Wheaton Public Library sponsored a program for children and caregivers on March 3.

Children participated in hands-on activities all about democracy and voting.  There were many little ones running around. There were13 completed voting ballots. There was a tie in the vote for state animal between the white tail deer and the coyote. For issues identified, climate change and clean air and water were the top priorities,  School safety, bullying, and homelessness took second place. Of note, not one child identified year round school as an important issue!
