Moving within DuPage County
If you move within DuPage County, notify the Board of Election Commissioners by sending a letter listing old and new addresses, old township and precinct, moving date; or by filling out an application for transfer of registration. The form includes an option to transfer your address. Letters should be sent to The DuPage Board of Elections, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. All applications for change of address must bear signature of voter. Applications must be received in the office of Election Board postmarked no later than midnight 28 days prior to any election. If you change your name, you must re-register and authorize cancellation of previous registration by completing a cancellation card.
Absentee applications for ballots may be requested not more than 40 days or less than 5 days prior to election day if made by mail, and no less than 1 day if made in person at the Board of Elections. In order to be counted, ballots must be received by the Board by noon on election day, in time to be delivered to the precinct polling places.Polling place locations are published in local papers prior to election day.
