Update on County Home Rule Study

The Coos County League presented their progress on the study of County Home Rule in Oregon.  In the past, Coos County has voted on whether to have a home rule charter, and the League couldn’t take a position on it because we didn’t have a detailed local study on the subject.  A committee is now doing the research so that we won’t get caught unprepared if there’s another Home Rule movement in the county.  

The presentation on Saturday, February 24th was given to update us on the progress the committee has made on the study.  Due to technical difficulties the Committee was unable to record the meeting but the slides used in their PowerPoint presentation is now available for you to view PDF icon HERE!
