The Celebrating Leadership Awards honors leaders who have demonstrated—through their professional and civic work—a dedication to the values and the goals upon which the League of Women Voters was established in 1920. For more than 104 years, the League has encouraged informed and active participation in government, worked to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influenced public policy through education and advocacy.
