The League of Women Voters of Monterey County will present a free talk at a live streamed "Lunch and Learn" Meeting at noon on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

The title and topic is A Deeper Dive into Due Process, with a focus on recent controversies over the application of Due Process, especially in immigration questions.

The speaker is Lisa Sperow is the President and CEO of Monterey College of Law,  a non-profit community based law school with 4 campuses. She was the Executive Director of the Cal Poly Low Income Taxpayer Clinic for over a decade. She is a graduate of UC Davis and University of Oklahoma College of Law. She clerked for the US Court of Appeals and was a trial lawyer for the Department of Justice.  Lisa taught Law at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  She actively volunteers  as Judge Pro Tem  for the Superior Court and  with the American Bar Association.
