Join us for our first Coast Speaker Event of 2023 to learn about how climate change is impacting your life and our County. Don't miss this important program.

Speaker: Dr. Kathleen Treseder, UCI Professor and Irvine City Council Member

Professor Treseder is the Howard A. Schneiderman Endowed Chair and Professor at University of California Irvine. She leads an internationally recognized research program studying how climate change affects endangered ecosystems and our society. She received her PhD from Stanford University and has been elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Academy of Microbiology, and the Ecological Society of America. She has published over 120 articles in scientific journals. Her research has been featured in NPR, Discover Magazine, the OC Register, and Harper’s Bazaar. Dr. Treseder and her husband founded the Treseder Randerson Fund, which supports programs for crime victims, refugees, those in pandemic-related distress, Asian-American immigrants, and environmental justice.
