We Stand Together in Solidarity No Kings Day October 18, 2025
No Kings Day in Solano County was a powerful display of solidarity, with the League of Women Voters standing alongside thousands of friends and neighbors in peaceful protest. Events were held in Benicia, Vallejo and Vacaville. No Kings Day 2.0 echoed across the nation with over 7 million participants. It was a call for justice and human rights. It was a call for action. The event showcased the concerns about the brutal treatment of immigrants by ICE, the militarization of our police forces, the overreach into our colleges and universities, and the increasing demonization of those who dissent. It was a clear and unwavering reflection of what democracy truly looks like. This event was not about hate. It was about the love and patriotism for our country by those that dissent with the current administration. Democracy is not a spectator sport and yesterday, millions of people across the nation demonstrated just that when we lifted our voices in a positive and peaceful manner.
