Celebrating 100 years, 19th Amendment

 

  • April 1st, 8th,15th, Film Festival, Cinema Arts Theater. Postponed due to Covid-19.
  • May 1-3, bus trip to Seneca Falls, NY (site of Seneca Falls Convention, a foundational event in the Women's Rights Movement), 2 nights hotel lodging, 1 dinner, and admission to the museum.  Approximately $350 per person double occupancy, bus holds 50 people. Postponed due to Covid-19.
  • May 21, Clear Space will produce “Reviving the Dead Ladies”, LWVSC to arrange food and drink and promote the event.  Postponed due toCovid-19.
  • July 6th and 7th (9-11pm): MPT (Maryland Public Television) premieres The Vote, a four-hour, two-part American Experience documentary that tells the dramatic story of the epic crusade waged by American women for the right to vote.  Also available on MPT.org and on the MPT video app.  For more information and access to trailers, click here.
  • August 1-30, Women's Suffrage Exhibit at the Milton Historical Society.  To be determined.
  • August 20th, Open house at the Maull House in Lewes with the Suffrage display.  Canceled.
  • August 26th, 6-7:30, Woman in White parade on Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk in cooperation with the VIA.  Canceled due to Covid-19.
  • September 26th, 12 noon, Dedication of the Suffrage Memorial at Legislative Hall in Dover.  Parade canceled.
  • October 10,  Bus trip to Turning Point Suffragist Memorial in Occoquan Regional Park, Fairfax County, VA.  Postponed until 2021 due to Covid-19.
  • November 5, Return Day Parade in Georgetown
  • Nov. - Dec.2020, Traveling exhibit “Rightly Hers” from the National Archives to be shown in Selbyville. The Freeman Foundation is arranging.
