Restrictions on reproductive freedom affect everyone, regardless of who they are or what they believe about abortion.

The citizen-led ballot initiative, designated on the 2024 ballot as Amendment 4 and titled the “Amendment to Limit Government Interference with Abortion,” seeks to create a constitutional amendment that would protect Floridians’ freedom to access abortion, stating:

No law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider. This amendment does not change the Legislature’s constitutional authority to require notification to a parent or guardian before a minor has an abortion.

Our work isn't done! Now, Yes on 4 needs 60% of votes on the November ballot to pass!

Because of the hundreds of activists and grassroots organizations across Florida working tirelessly to collect petitions, Amendment 4 to Limit Government Interference with Abortion will be on this November's Florida ballot. Now we need to hit the streets, network and talk to voters to make sure that we exceed 60 percent of voters in November to vote Yes on 4 for this amendment to pass into law.

Yes on 4 and community partners host in-person and virtual events throughout the month to provide training, networking and canvassing opportunities to educate voters on Amendment 4. Check their mobilize.us listings or our calendar for events and volunteer opportunities near you.

Join Yes on 4 and LWV as we work to educate voters to end government interference with abortion!
