Our Annual Meeting is now scheduled for April 18, 2026, at the Thurmont Regional Library Community Room from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. Do feel free to bring your own. Also, please bring a box of diapers. We will contribute these to Centro Hispano this year.

This year we have two speakers, Cesar Diaz, Frederick City Council President/District 2, and Stuart Harvey, Past Elections Director, Frederick County Board of Elections.

You, our members, have a valuable role in this meeting. You will vote on various items throughout the meeting so the League can continue to do the good work we do, the work you joined the League of Women Voters to support. Members whose dues are current are eligible to vote and entitled to take an active part in all business conducted at the Annual Meeting. The attached Workbook details that business.

If you cannot join us either in person or online, you can vote by proxy, but you cannot vote by proxy to elect officers. I will email the link to that proxy vote the week of the Annual Meeting to eligible members.

Members may pay their dues at the door; pay by check made out to LWVUS and mailed to League of Women Voters of Frederick County, PO Box 9, Frederick, MD 21705; or log onto the member portal to renew your membership at https://portal.lwv.org.

After review of the attached Workbook, members may suggest changes in the Proposed Local Program. Suggestions must be written, signed, and submitted to the League of Women Voters of Frederick County, c/o The Leadership Team, PO Box 9, Frederick, MD 21705, or submitted via email to lwvoffc [at] gmail.com as of April 10, 2026.
