CANDIDATE FORUMS
The primary election is Tuesday, June 23. Early voting in Frederick County is June 11-18.
Our partners in these forums, providing volunteers and other support, include the Frederick chapter of the NAACP, the RISE colaition of Western Maryland, Rise Up Frederick, and Nigerians in Frederick.
There are 14 candidates for the four open seats on the Frederick County School Board. The League divided those candidates among four separate forums to give each candidate ample opportunity to respond to the League's questions.
The League will provide sign-language interpreters at the forums whenever possible. The forums are all free to attend and open to the public.
These are the forums we hosted for the 2026 Primary Election.

- June 1, US Congressional District #6 Democrats: George Gluck, Alexis Goldstein, and Ethan Wechtaluk. A. Mark Wilks joined us late, and had not responded to our invitation, but the candidates agreed he could join us for the questions all of the candidates answered. The remaining candidates, Daniel Krakower, April McClain Delaney, David Trone, and Kaimbo "Bo" White, did not respond to our invitations to confirm their attendance. This forum was in person at ERUCC Community Room, 15 W. Church Street, Frederick at 6:00 p. Unfortunately, the livestream recording was distorted in transmission without our knowledge. This is why we have a backup recording via Zoom. Unfortunately that video also had some problems. However, it seems like the audio recording from Zoom is pretty clear. Check back to this space to see links to the options we decide make the most sense. We are still in the process of reviewing all three options.
