We are an organization of women who worked hard to secure the right to vote in our country's Constitution. Of COURSE we support Diversity Equity and Integration, but not just because we are women. Every person in America has valuable knowledge, skills, and creative ideas to contribute to making our country great. We cannot know what strengths our citizens have if we refuse to acknowledge them and give them the opportunity to participate completely in the running of our country, our businesses, our schools, and our communities. The League of Women Voters of Frederick County will be celebrating the histories of peoples previous disenfranchised and ignored just as our country has in previous years.
