So much has happened since we began working full force on the Census, Centennial and the Election that it has made a whirlwind of the last few months.

Everyone is learning new ways to cope with both the isolation and fear that the virus brings, but everyone knows the world, while changing, is still moving forward.

The League is doing, learning and coping with many new ways to reach our constituencies and our members. We have bravely learned and practiced the new ways to communicate and are in the midst of creating programs and communication strategies to keep you all abreast of the important areas the League has focused on for 100 years.

We are converting our in-person meetings like Lunch and Learn and Brews and Views to webinars and are holding board meetings, committee meetings and an annual meeting electronically (why did I not know ZOOM existed 2 months ago!). Plus we will spread the word about elections bilingually on Vote411.org and, if needed, hold virtual candidate forums for the primary and general elections with interviews and release on CTN and YouTube.

We believe so firmly in the mission of the League, especially in times like this, that we are stretching our resources to make this pivotal election year and its electorate, the best-informed voting public on record.

We will be sending invites and emails announcing the repertoire of offerings we are pulling together so we can move forward in 2020 to November. Look for us on Facebook and Twitter. Just today our email invitation to our first virtual Brews & Views went out - be sure to look for it and register to join the meeting on Zoom and hear from our distinguished guest Barbara McQuade.

Above all, stay healthy, stay safe and stay tuned. Spring and sun are right around the corner!
