Observer Corps is a structured way for individuals to exercise their right to know and help to make citizens aware of decisions that impact their lives. It also promotes governmental transparency.

Advocacy (deliberate & act)

LWVOA Advocacy Committee Meetings are the 3rd Wednesday from 5:30-6:30pm via Zoom This group focuses on local legislative movements in areas including bail reform, criminal justice, etc.This meeting will also review initial reports from the LWVOA Observer Corps that is attending local school board meetings. Advocacy learns the national, state, and local positions and takes action to advocate for/against legislative action that relates to these positions.
