September 19, 2023, is National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), a day set aside for volunteers and organizations across the country to register citizens to vote.  Although the event lasts just one day, the Washtenaw League will work the entire week to ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to vote.

On September 19th, we’ll be tabling and registering voters at the Ypsilanti District Library (5577 Whittaker Rd) from 11:30am - 2:30pm, and at the Saline District Library, 5:00pm - 8:00pm.

On September 23rd, we will have a table at the Ypsilanti District Library’s book sale from 11:00am-2:00pm.

In addition, League volunteers will register voters at Washtenaw Community College on September 13th, 14th, 18th, and 19th from 10:00am - 2:00pm.

Separate from NVRD, on September 1, the League joined the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at the John Lawrence Jazz Fest at Ford Lake Park registering voters and providing information about new voting procedures in 2024.
