IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE LEAGUE MEMBERS

The LWVUS has switched to a new membership system called ChapterSpot for all Leagues across the country.  The system is rolling out gradually starting February 3rd.  What does this mean for current and prospective members?

Want to join?  New members who have an email address will join using the new system.  Click HERE to access.  To join without an email address,  or for more information about joining, please go to our Join/Renew page

Current members will be sent an email asking them to log in to the ChapterSpot Portal and claim their membership in the new ChapterSpot record (no password required)..  Sending the invitations is rolling out gradually and it may be awhile before you receive yours.

  • Click the link in that email to begin to activate your current membership.
  • A code will then be sent to your email, which you will copy into the ChapterSpot portal page.  This activates your membership.
  • Once you are logged in, you will be directed to a short survey from the League (LWVUS and LWV-WC).  This will help us locally to know what work you are interested in getting involved with.
  • This is all you need to do! If you have questions or need assistance, please email us at membership [at] lwvwashtenaw.org.  We will be ready to help.
  • When it comes time to renew, you will receive email reminders 60 days ahead of your membership renewal date. (For most of you this will be late December 2025 or early January 2026.)

We hope these changes will make managing your membership easier. For the entire League, this new approach is expected to increase membership around the country and broaden our ability to empower voters and defend democracy.

We will keep you updated with more information as the system is put in place. Thank you for your continued support.
